Autumn, hello your daughter is darling. I have a few questions and I believe you may be able to help. I have two english bulldogs and I can not get them potty trained. Is there a trick?? Also have you ever had a female dog?? hope your day is great
I've had a female dog my whole life but never a female bulldog. We always went with the males because they are much bigger and we stud them out. With the potty training bulldogs are very territorial. They are stubborn and its on their own time. Chevy was very fast and easy to train, Maserati on the other hand it harder. You have to keep them in small areas. (a crate, room) Only let them out to play and potty. Always go to the same door and say the same thing. Such as Masserati lets go outside, potty mazzi. Take them to the area and stand and watch them go. Say good Mazzi good boy good potty. and give a treat. When they go potty in the house you say no mazzi no potty outside take them to the same door and same place say the same thing. Then when he is done say good job with no treat. They will learn fast that they don’t get treats if they potty in the house. They are smart little guys. 10-20min after every feeding they need to go out same with playing and immediately after naps! They will learn to sit by the potty door and make a sound when they need to go. Chevy used to sit and hit the blinds with his nose, Mazzi will put his nose on the window and snort.
